Village Head Mtalimanga from the area of Traditional Authority (T/A) Mponda in Mangochi district has reaffirmed her commitment to support interventions that are aimed at helping young people to desist from alcohol and drug abuse in her area.
Village Head Mtalimanja has been at the centre of promoting the adoption of positive behaviours among young people in her area.
During a visit to one of the impact areas where YONECO in partnership with FORUT and NCA-DCA are implementing a drug and substance abuse prevention project, the traditional leader acknowledged the positive impact which the project has made to her young subjects.
Further to this, health authorities in the district have also echoed what the traditional leader said by indicating that there is a significant decrease in the number of drug and substance abuse related cases among the youth in the area.
